  House Plan Description
This house was designed to be a Mediterranean Villa. It has 1" concrete stucco exterior with a skip trowel textured finish. It has a Monier life tile concrete tile roof with a four color blend. There is foam insulation throughout along with travertine floors. This plan is energy star rated because of the foam insulation, low "e" glass windows, and radiant barrier. Many floors have different patterns such as a Versailles pattern. The hardwood floors and stairs are hand-scraped. The kitchen, laundry, wine bars, and butler's pantry all have granite countertops. The variety of granite is called "yellow river." The bathrooms all have marble tops "dark emperador". The columns in the dining room are 16" columns that are ten feet tall with Tuscan caps. There is quite a bit of cast stone on the front including a cast stone arched pediment above the entry, a cast stone fountain, and a cast stone door surround. There are three large cast stone finials at the top of the wing wall in the front. The cabinetry is all clear or select alder, and the moldings are knotty alder. The foyer floor is a diamond shaped pattern, made of travertine and all the appliances are Jenn-Air Stainless steel. There is a six burner cook-top with a built in griddle, a warming drawer, a double oven and microwave, a dishwasher and also a 48" refrigerator. In the bars there are refrigerators with icemakers and copper sinks. All other sinks are kohler ceramic "bisquit color," except the outdoor kitchen sink which is stainless steel. There is an oversized three car garage that you can fit a full sized crew cab pickup in. The study has floor to ceiling paneling made of clear alder. The front door inserts above the patio and circle above the door, as well as the main stair railing and the two balcony railings are all decorative wrought iron, constructed in Monterrey Mexico by "cantera doors". Most rooms were designed for flat panel TVs. The house has all cat 5 wiring and two fireplaces. One is a wood burning isokern fireplace and the other is a direct vent that puts off a lot of heat. The foyer ceiling is 27 feet, and the tower over the tub is around 25-27 feet tall inside. It lights up with florescent lighting at night. There is rope lighting in the dining room ceiling and also in the ceiling in the master bath. All arches in the stairway have alcove lighting with accent lighting in the upper cabinets in the kitchen and in the entertainment center cabinets in the living room.
